But the villages and farmland are also well worth visiting - take a walk through the sugar cane fields to the Nile, or visit the monastery of St George out in the desert. You could also visit the Hassan Fathy village to see how mud brick can produce attractive buildings today. On the East Bank, you could visit Animal Care Egypt to which we donate 10% of your booking.
